Quantitative Classification and Ordination of Plant Communities in Midpiece of Zhongtiao Mountains

  • According to the data of field plots, the classification and ordination of plant community in Midpiece of Zhongtiao Mountains,Shanxi Province, were studied using two-way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN) and detrended correspondence analysis(DCA).53 samples were divided into 14 groups by TWINSPAN.Based on the principle of vegetation classification, were classified into 14 associations and their community characteristics are described. The result of DCA ordination has reflected the relationship between plant community type and the environment gradient. The result shows that distribution pattern of the associations were mainly affected by the leading ecology factor of elevation, temperature and humidity.65 species are divided into 5 groups by DCA ordination, the seat of 5 groups on the ordination axle of DCA has reflected their ecology adaptability and importance and regeneration niche in the community.
