CHROMOSOME STUDIES ON 7 SPECIES OF CLEMATIS IN CHINA

  • This paper deals with chromosomal number and morphology of 7 species of Clematis L. in China. The results are summarized in Table 1. According to the basic number of the genus (x=8), these species can be refered to diploid and tetraploid. The following Clematis forms are studied cytologically, the chromosome number and the karyotype formula are as follows:The chromosomal number Species &the karyotype formula C.aethusifolia Turcz. 2n(2x)=16=10m+6st(2SAT) C.aethusifolia var. 2n(2x)=16=10m+6st(2SAT) latisecta Maxim.
