Identification and analysis of 1R-MYB transcription factors regulating the phenylpropane biosynthesis pathway in Ranunculus japonicus Thunb.

  • The 1R-MYB family plays a crucial role in plant growth, development, stress resistance, and secondary metabolite synthesis. A full-length transcriptome database for three different tissues ofRanunculus japonicusThunb. was constructed using PacBio isoform sequencing and DNA nanoball sequencing. In this study, members of the 1R-MYB family were identified in the full-length transcriptome database ofR. japonicus. Their motifs, family evolution, expression patterns, spatial structure, and functions were analyzed. In total, 221 MYB-related genes were identified at the transcriptome level, with 18 1R-MYB transcription factors (TFs) found to be enriched in the phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway based on KEGG analysis, potentially regulating peroxidase activity. Overall, this study provides a foundation for further exploration of the regulatory functions of 1R-MYB TFs in secondary metabolite biosynthesis inR. japonicus.
