  • At present there is a gap on the study of chromosomes of Bryophytes in China, because it is more difficult than the study of seed plants chromosomes. Authors have consulted a few international literatures and studied unde robservation tens of Bryophytes of different tyyes. In this paper methods and techniques including selection of materials (capsule, stem apex, growing point etc.), fixation, staining, and preparation of slide etc. are introduced in every aspect. It would be helpful to promote the study in this field.
