Mensuration of Physiological and Biochemical Characters on the Cell Suspension Culture of Camptotheca acuminata Decsne.

  • With the young leaves of Camptotheca acuminata Decsne. callus are induced and screened, then establish the suspension cultures, the influences of light on the cell growth and physiological and biochemical characters are primarily studied. The results are as follows:When Camptotheca acuminata Decsne. is cultured in the light and in the dark, both of their cell growth curves are like "S", but their growth circles are about 30 days and 27 days respectively; The pH of cultured mediums goes down at first, then goes up gradually; soluble protein contents and peroxides activities of cultured cell have two peaks, but they were on the different days.
