  • Based on the results of plot investigation, there were 104 vascular plants, belonging to 39 families and 61 genera,in Castanopsis fabri community in Daiyun Mountain National Nature Reserve.Of the species,4 species belonging to 4 families and 4 genera were pteridophyte,3 species belonging to 2 families and 3 genera were gymnosperm, and 97 species belonging to 33 families and 54 genera were angiosperm. The number of the families containing more species was less than that of the families containing few species. The analysis of the geographical elements of vascular plants showed that the tropical elements taked predominate position and the temperate elements taked secondary position in the family and genus class, and that the vascular plants as a part of the flora of East China were connected with the plants in the region of South China and Central China. These results indicated that Castanopsis fabri community in Daiyun Mountain National Nature Reserve was a forest community with typical characterization of the midsubtropical evergreen broadleave forest.
