Abstract:
To define the regional distribution and predict new areas of
Dichroa febrifuga Lour., we determined distribution areas and ranges from 426 samples using the Geographic Information System for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCMGIS). Analysis showed that
D. febrifuga was mainly distributed in the East Monsoon Area of China. A total of 829 counties in 14 provinces, covering a land area of 760 640.1, shared similar ecological factors with those of native habitats appropriate for
D. febrifuga. The four provinces with the largest areas were Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong and Hunan. This study will be of benefit for the conservation planning of wild resources, artificial cultivation and sustainable utilization.
