Abstract:
Nonea pulla (L.) DC. (Boraginaceae), collected from Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is reported as a new record for the flora of China. Detailed morphological and anatomical illustrations are provided, and diagnostic characters were compared among the three
Nonea species currently distributed in China.
N. pulla can be distinguished from all other Chinese congeners by a dark purple corolla and distinctly curved corolla tube. This discovery expands the known distribution of
N. pulla and increases the documented species diversity of this genus in China.
