Abstract:
Two new species of the family Urticaceae,
Laportea lageensis and
Pilea lageensis, are described from southeastern Tibet.
Laportea lageensis is related to
L.medogensis C.J.Chen,but differs from the latter by its stems, petioles and peduncles with sparse short stinging hairs, broadly cuneate or obtuse leaf bases, and glabrous pistillate tepals.
Pilea lageensis is related to
P.monilifera Hand.-Mazz.,but differs from the latter by its lower, puberulous stems, smaller leaves, smaller leaf cystoliths, and broadly ovate smaller pistillate tepals.
