Abstract
During taxonomic verification of Corydalis (Papaveraceae) specimens collected during the Third Comprehensive Scientific Expedition to Xinjiang, a species previously unrecorded in China was discovered. Detailed morphological analysis, combined with comprehensive herbarium and literature comparisons, confirmed the species to be Corydalis pseudoadunca Popov, previously reported only in Kyrgyzstan. This study documents the first occurrence of C. pseudoadunca in China and assigns it the proposed Chinese name “Jia Hui Lü Huang Jin”. A detailed morphological description is presented alongside a comparative analysis with closely related taxa based on voucher specimens and existing literature. This discovery not only expands the documented range of Corydalis within China but also contributes to further research on the phylogenetic and biogeographic relationships among various species of the genus.
