  • The lichen genus Lobothallia(Clauzade & Cl.Roux) Hafellner is described,with one species,L.alphoplaca(Wahlenb.) Hafellner from Xinjiang.The genus is characterized by lobed,areolate,pruinose squamules;center densely covered with apothecia;margin lecanorine and is recorded as new to China.A description of this species,including its anatomy,chemistry,and ecology,is presented in this paper with photographs.
