  • The geographical distribution and floristic characters of Actinidia species from Jiangxi Province were studied by means of field surveys and examining herbarium specimen and literatures. The results indicates that there are 20 species, 11 varieties(or forms) of Actinidia distributed in Jiangxi Province, among which A. polygama (Sieb.et Zucc.)Maxim., A. cinerascens C.F.Liang, A. fasciculoides var. cuneata C.F.Liang, A. fasciculoides C.F.Liang are new records to Jiangxi Province. The area is rich in endemic species of the genus, 28 species (including varieties)endemic to China are found. Interspecific and intraspecific differentiation of Actinidia is significantly high. The geographical impact on the species is complex. The species endemic to China are widely distributed in the province. Flora of Actinidia in Jiangxi is closely related to the bordering regions of Fujian,Zhejiang,Hunan and Guangdong Provinces. The relationship between the pattern of Actindia in Jiangxi and their habitats is also discussed.
