  • This paper deals with classification and distribution of Flacourtiaceae from China. There are 6 tribes, 12 genera, 40 species, 5 varieties. Its floristic character is distinguished as follows: 1. There are the most taxa, almost all the species of China in southwest and south China; 2. Endemic phenomena are dominent, 2 genera, 11 species are Chinese endemic; 3. Tropical areal genera are aboundant. 75% genera are tropical areal type; 4. Areal types are various. There are 9 types or forms among 12 genera, 7 types or forms among 40 species, 5 varieties in China; 5. The northermost kingdom of Flacourtiaceae in east Asia, even northern hemisphere is situated in 35°N. lat. Meanwhile a new tribe Poliothyrsiseae, which include Poliothyrsis Oliv., Itoa Hemsl. and Carrierea Franch., and a new variety ltoa orientalis Hemsl. Var. glabrescens C. Y. Wu ex G. S. Fan are described. 2 new recording species of China and a new recording of Chinese continent are found. 6 scientific names are combined or merged.
