  • There are about 200 species in the genus Viburnum all over the world. Plenty of them can be ultilized for their ornamental value, but a few of them have been exploited at home and abroad. A list of occurence, present uses of Viburnum spp. in China are given in this paper. Viburnum macrocephalum (Jade Flower)——a traditional Chinese flowering plant and its botanic characters, variations, variety classification are disscussed. A new variety was found and it was named V. macrocephalum f. keteleeri cv. Big flower. There are 7species which have similar ornamental values to Jade flower in Viburnum genus. They are worth planting in gardens.
