  • Hangzhou Xixi and Shaoxing Jinghu National Wetland Park are both located in the north of Zhejiang Province,East China.Floral,ecological-form and growth-form comparisons and β diversity index were applied to analysis the similarity of species composition of the two regions. The results showed that:there were 511 vascular plant species in Xixi, among them,11 were ferns;11 were gymnosperms;489 were angiosperms, belonging to 111 families and 352 genera. There were 384 vascular plant species in Jinghu, among them,12 were ferns;11 were gymnosperms;361 were angiosperms, belonging to 101 families and 285 genera. The two regions were abundant in species. The two regions had a high similarity in species composition owing to the similar natural and human effects. There was much less typical wetland plants(about half of the total species) in both regions compared with the entire wetlands in Zhejiang. This result showed that the two wetlands were degraded. So,it is suggested that much more wetland habitats and wetland plants should be restored or planted;meanwhile, some degrees of human managements should be remained for the maintaining of multiple habitats, biodiversities and enhancing the ecological services of Xixi and Jinghu wetland.
