  • Karyotypes and Giemsa C-banding patterns of S. italica and S. viridis in China were studied. Their karyotypes are the same basically, with 2n=18=16m+2st(SAT), and the banding patterns are also similar. Tetraploids are found in both S. italica and S. viridis.
