  • The chemical composition of essential oil collected by steam distillation from Taxus chinensis var.mairei has been studied by GC-MStechnique.26 constituents have been identified.Three of them(Palmitic acid,9-Hexadecenoic acid,9-hexadecenyl ester,3-Octanol)are the main ones,with their contents being35. 66%,11.28%,4.47% respectively.This paper provides data for discussion of the phylogenetic relationships among the genera of Taxaceae.
