  • Five known compounds were isolated from the root of Zanthoxylum dimorphophyllum var. spinifolium. One of them is β-sitosterol (Ⅴ). The others alkaloids are: oxyavicine (Ⅰ), canthin-6-one (Ⅱ), ethoxychelerythrine (Ⅲ), and avicine (Ⅳ).
