A STUDY ON THE STRESS-RESISTANCE OF 8 GRASSES

  • Choosing 8 grasses as exprimental and introductory materials,the authors measured several physiological indexes of stress-resistance.The results show that the 4 cool-climate grasses including Festuca arundinacea, Poa pratensis, Poa pratensis cv.Vabsh and Agtostis stolonifera have better abilities of drought and hot resistance.All the 8 grasses are suitable for being spreaded in Wuhan area.The measuring methods and indexes were compared and discussed.
