  • The somatic embryogenesis is a major way of plant regeneration in wheat immature embryo culture. The typical mature embryoids were gained in the culture in 1986, and more than 530 plantlets were regenerated from one single embryo; Factors such as hormones and organic nutrition affect the somatic embryogenesis. Using MS medium as basal medium, the low concentration(0.4mg/1)of 2.4-D and casein hydrolysate(1000mg/l)are favourable for somatic embryogensis.
