Abstract
Under different colour light with similar irradiance and different constituent hormones with the same consistency ratio, the growth and development of the callus from the stem segment culture of A. officinalis were compared. The results showed that shoot number, shoot length, rooting. biomass and the contents of carbohydrates, chlorophyll, protein and nucleic acid were alternately affected by light and hormones.
