  • Myricaria laxifolia, one of the plant species endemic to the Three-Gorge reservoir area,is the only one species that will submerged completely after the ThreeGorge dam built. Based on the results of a field study in the area, the morphological character, nature distribution region, habitat, plant community structure of the species are reported;its biological and ecological adaptability to the environment submerged during the period of flood is also analyzed in this paper,so as to provide a scientific basis for the ex situ conservation of the species.
