  • The changes of chlorophyll content and chlor oplast ultrastructure were studied during the period of appearing zebra-leaf ch aracter from the thermo-sensitive chlorophyll deficient mutants of rice 1103S a nd Wujin 4B.The results shown that content of chlorophyll decreased after appeari ng zebra-leaf character.Ultrastructural changes occurred in the chloroplasts in the yellow part including grana lamellae and grana decreasing and significant a ccumulation of starch grains and osmiophilic globules.However,the chloroplast structure renewed and restructured normally after recovery of the yellow part of leaves into green.
