  • This study analysised the differences of gene expression among the uni- and bi- nucleate stage anthers of the HL-CMS system with the method of differential display.382 binds were detected in all samples with the specific MADS-box primer and Oligo dT12GC and Oligo dT1212CG as anchor primers respectively.46.1% (22×8=176 binds) of which expressed constitutively among all the samples. The statistical analysis of the polymorphism binds showed that the MADS-box genes took an important role in the cytoplasm and nuclear interaction of CMSand fertility restoration in rice.At the last, this paper has discussed the relationship between the diversity binds and CMSand sterility restoration. The application of differential display using specific primer in complicated biological phenomena is also discussed.
