The sequences of nrDNA ITS from Camellia nitidissima Chi and Camellia petelotii(Merr.)Sealy were analyzed in this study.There are some difference between the sequences of these two species.Camellia nitidissima Chi was closer to Camellia tunghinensis,Camellia limonia and Camellia pingguoensis than to Camellia petelotii(Merr.)Sealy.It suggested Camellia nitidissima Chi and Camellia petelotii(Merr.)Sealy are distinct species.
