  • Based on the observation of samples in Zhongdian, Yunnan Province together with the reference of other region's studing results, the distribution pattern and ecological adaptation of Sinopodophyllum hexandrum has been analysed. As a results, the paper states out that Sinopodophyllum hexandrum has a wide distribution region and ranges a wide ecological environments. However, in its distribution region, it mostly appears in va11eys with secondary vegetation. In the population, the plant shows a kind of clumping distribution pattern because of grazing, individual plant is mostly observed growing under shrubs or around tree trunks. It has adaptated the weather of cool and moist in summar, but dry and frigid in winter and early spring and has developed a series of adaptation mechanism such as growing rhythm.Morphological polymorphism is extremely conspicuous, this should be considered the results of its adaptation of various environments.Human being' s social activities are taking an important affection on the distribution pattern of Sinopodophyllum hexandrum.
