Studies on Photosynthetic Inorganic Carbon Utilization of Ulothrix sp_.

Photosynthetic inorganic carbon utilization of Ulothrix sp.had been investigated.The results showed that pHcompensation point of Ulothrix sp.was 9.2,which suggested lower CO₂ compensation point in Ulothrix sp.Photosynthetic O₂ evolution was higher than theoretical CO₂ supply rate from HCO₃^- dehydration in different pH,which implied Ulothrix sp.can utilize HCO₃^-.Extracellular CAactivity of Ulothrix sp.was not found,but intracellular CAactivity was decreased with increased CO₂ levels.
