  • The gene expression in leaves for hybrid rice,Honglianyou-6,and its parental lines(YTA,YTB,9311) at different development stages was analyzed by using DDRT-PCR.Our results revealed that both quality and quantity difference in gene expression were detected among hybrid and parental lines at same developmental stage.Although gene expression in hybrid is obviously altered, the differential expressed gene still occupy a very small proportion of total expressed gene;In addition,no qualitative difference in gene expression was observed between one-leaf stage and tri-leaf stage in the same material. This indicate the great similarity of gene expression in the two stages. Also, our experiment further provide evidence that DDRT-PCR technique with silver staining is a rapid, and convenient method for detecting differentially expressed genes.
