  • The developments of the pollen and megaspore cells of Pinellina ternata follow basic-type.When the seed is mature, its embryo is at the proembryo stage without differentiation, which is called a protocorm.The developing process of the embryo is similar to that of a bulbil.When the seed begins to germinate, the protocorm breaks through the seed coat, forms a ball-type structure and finishes its differentiation.
