  • The spores of three different plants collected from Lichuan,Hubei, were observed via scanning electron microscopy. The morphological characteristics of each species were described and summarized. Results showed that the plants were similar in shape and surface ornamentation, but different in body size and surface pit depth. The results indicated that shape and surface ornamentation morphology could be the common characteristic of each plant, and the difference in size and surface pit depth could be used to identify the three plants.
