Abstract
This paper deals with the organogenesis of five different lifeform plants in the light and the dark with suitable medium. It was found that the formation of bulblets and protocorms of Lilium davidii and Cymbidium frandiylorum (geophytes) was independent on light condition. When light intensity was 1.4mW/cm2, the formation of adventitious buds from the leaves of Saintaulia ionantha (hemicryptophytes) and Begonia rex-cultorum (chamaephytes) was promoted by red light (660nm), and inhibited by blue light (435nm) or dark. The bud formation from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum was promoted by blue light and inhibited by red light or dark.
