  • The micro-morphological characteristics of bract abaxial epidermis of 11 species of Scirpus from Shandong Province were studied under light microscope. The results show that the micro-morphological characteristics of bract abaxial epidermis can be divided into two types:(Ⅰ) Between the veins stomatal apparatus is 4-12 rows, which may be divided into 2 subtypes.(Ⅱ) Between the veins stomatal apparatus is 1-2 rows, which may be divided into 4 subtypes. The evidences support the genus Scirpus was divided into two subgenus:subgen Scirpus and subgen Isolepis(R.Br.) Pax;subgen Scirpus is further divided into Sect.Bolboschoenus Aschers.,Sect.Trichophorum(Pers.) Darl.;and the establishment of the Sect.Actaeogeton Reichb of the subgen Isolepis(R.Br.) Pax;Moreover,Sect.Schoenoplectus Reichb.Only including S.trisetosus Tang et Wang, and S.triqueter L.The evidences also support S.ehrenbergii B cklr.,S.validus Vahl should each be built as a new section-- Sect.Ehrenbergii F.Z.Li,& L.N.Liu sect.nov.,Sect.Validus F.Z.Li,& L.N.Liu sect.nov.
