  • The results about the leaf site of section Rytidospermum Spach of Magnolia was reported in this paper, which are different from that described by predecessors. The results show that the spring leaves of sect.Rytidospermum are clustered in spring branches, which means spring leaves clustered in the bases of the branches, but not the ends of the branches, that the leaves of the summer and autumn are alternate, also are the leaves of seedling and long sprouted branches. The results are verified by the morphology and anatomy of the bud and branch.
