  • To study the sources,distribution and metabolism of polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs)in plants,can help to serve plants as passive samplers for PCBs monitoring,and enrich the theory of PCBs phytoremediation.Firstly,the sources of PCBs in plants were reviewed;secondly,the uptake mechanism of PCBs by plants and influence factors were summarized;thirdly,the distribution patterns of PCBs in different parts of plants were reviewed;fourthly,the metabolism of PCBs by plants were summarized.Finally,current problems and future studies on the sources,distribution and metabolism of PCBs in plants were discussed.
