  • Tongguzhang mountains is a diverse flora.A total of 1116 native seed plants in 598 genera of 163 families was identified in Tongguzhang Mountains.Among them,There are 6 species in 5 genera of 5 families belong to Gymnospermae,1110 species in 593 genera of 158 families belong to Angiospermae.16 new recorded plants to Guangdong were identified.Tongguzhang flola has complicated geographic elements and predominated by tropic elements. It has close relation to tropic floras and less connection with temperate floras. There are one endemic family(Sargentodoxaceae),8 endemic genera and 515 endemic species to China. As to the endemic species, there are 25 species endemic to Temperate-Subtropic & Tropic China,490 species to the Subtropic & Tropic China( 9 species endemic to Guangdong Province and 6 species endemic to East Guangdong).
