  • In present paper,5 species and 5 varieties of Naviculaceae(Bacillariophyta) are reported as newly recorded in China.They are Navicula arkona Lange-Bertalot & Witkowski,Hippodonta linearis Lange-Bertalot,Metzeltin & Witkowski,Geissleria decussis(Hustedt)Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin,Geissleria kriegeri(Krasske)Lange-Bertalot & Metzeltin,Pinnularia divergens var.media Krammer,Pinnularia dubitabilis var.minor Horst Krammer,Pinnularia lundii var.linearis H Krammer,Pinnularia rhombarea var.variarea Krammer,Pinnularia stomatophora var.irregularis Krammer,Alveovallum beyensii Lange-Bertalot & Krammer.All taxa were collected from Jilin and Liaoning provinces.Some of these species were observed with LM and some of them were observed with SEM,the taxonomic characteristic and habitats were described.
