  • The distribution of plant species in a community is random or not is equal to that the position points of the individuals are random or not in a two-dimensional plane Thus, Gruenberger and Mark's d2 test could be used to the detection of species distribution pattern. By using d2 test this paper has analysed the distribution of a desert shrub Reaumuria soongorica within a 30m×30m quadrat. The regular pattern is fonnd for the species.
