Abstract
An endophytic bacteria was found in the cells of sound lily's bulbs, stem, leaf and embryo. By means of light and electron microscopy and tissue culture, we did not observe these bacterium interfere with the division and differentiation of lily cells. The regenerative lily is vigorous. These bacterium can be transfered into daughter cells as with the cell division of host. These endophytic bacterium are ellipsoidal or subglobose. Under the electron microscopy, the cell wall of these bacteria, with the monolayer and homoeomerous structure, showed the typical properties of Gram-positive bacteria cell wall The result of the electron microscopy observation of bacteria cell wall tallies with that of the light microscopy observation of Gram-positive response.
