  • A new variety of Chinese orchid,Dendrobium moniliforme var.malipoense L.J.Chen et Z.J.Liu,is described and illustrated.The new variety differs from typical variety,Dendrobium moniliforme var.moniliforme(L.)Sw.,by having plants very small,4-6 cm long;stem fleshy,fusiform,with 3-6 nodes,enclosed in gibbous sheath;rachis 1-2 cm long,dorsal sepals narrowly oblong,lip disc with 3 lamellae.
