  • In Huoshan Mountain,9 sampling plots were set up at Qiliyu Farm for field investigation of Pinus tabulaeformis population.Based on the theory of survival analysis and spectral analysis, the size structure, the static life table were conducted;the curves of survival are drawn, the periodicity of P.tabulaeformis population was analyzed. The results are summarized as follow:(1) The average density of P.tabulaeformis dropped with the increase of size-class,which reflected the negative association between density and size-class;(2) The estimated survival curve roughly showed the form of DeeveyⅡ;(3) P.tabulaeformis population has its fluctuation between survival and mortality, and between mortality density and hazard rate. The monotonousess of survival function or accumulate mortality rate function were drop or up.The population was developing in the earlier and later period and stable in the middle period.;(4) there is a regularity of periodic fluctuation in the process of quantitative dynamics of P.tabulaeformis population, which is related to natural regeneration of P.tabulaeformis.
