  • In this paper, chromosome numbers of two Paraphlomis species were reported for the first time.The chromosome numbers of the tested two species,Paraphlomis hispida and P.javanica,are the same,namely 2n=2x=34 and their basic chromosome number is x=17,which is different from x=10 or 11 for Phlomis.Therefore,our results indicate that Paraphlomis and Phlomis are different genera,respectively.
