  • In this paper, the evidence is presented that a kind of commercial bamboo in Gramineae plant is subjected to Agrobacterium tumefaciens directly transformation. Strain specific nopaline and octopine have been detected respectively in bamboo cultures infected by A. tumefaciens C58 and A348 strains; while, opines are not observed when detect control tissues and the materials inoculated with NTI strains and VirA211- mx lost the virulence.
