  • Cunninghamia laceolata(Lamb.)Hk.cv. Luotian is a natural variation of Chinese-fir discovered in Luotian County of Hubei Province in middle of 1970’s.Based on the comparison with C.laceolata cv.‘Laceolata’,the characteristic of morphological variation and biological character of C.laceolata cv.Luotian have been investigated and studied.The main morphological characteristic which distinguishes C.laceolata cv.Luotian from common Chinese-fir are that the 2-3 years offshoot is naturally drooping and(6-7) years old shoot come off naturally,the tree crown is narrow.C.laceolata cv.Luotian is a kind of genetic resources with genetic improvement character and high value in use.
