  • This paper deals with the shape and properties of drugs, the microscopic structure of roots, stems, leaves and flowers, with the characters of isolated tissue and powered drugs of seven species of medicinal Swertia plants—Swertia davidii Franch, S. bimaculata (S. et Z. ) HK. f Thoms., S. hickinii Burk., S. kouitchensis Franch, S. macrosperma C. B. Clarke., S. nervosa Wall., S. punicea Hemsl. These results are valuable to the drug standardization and resource utilization for Swertia plants and to morphological and histological further studies on Swertia plants.
