A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON THE CHINESE CHESTNUT CULTIVARS FROM LUOTIAN COUNTY, HUBEI PROVINCE

  • The plant characters, POX isozyme and Q cluster analysis of some Chinese chestnut cultivars from Luotian County, Hubei Province were studied in this paper. The results show that the differences among these cultivars in involucre, nut and fruit riping are obvious and stable, and that of the POX zymograms among them lies in the zymoband number and staining. As for the Q cluster analysis, it is unaniomous with the plant characters comparision and POX isozyme analysis.
