STUDIES ON KARYOTYPES OF FOUR CHINESE SCALLIONS (ALLIUM CHINENSIS G.DON)

The karyotype of four Chinese scallions (Allium chinensis G. Don) was studied. The results showed that the karyotype of blue scallion is 2n=4x=32=24m+8sm(SAT); Taoyuan scallion is 2n=4x=32=28m(SAT)+4sm; Lichuan scallion is 2n=4x=32=24m(SAT)+4sm+4st; and silk scallion is 2n=3x=24=21m+3sm. Meantime, according to the karyotype analysis, Classification of chinese scallions and problem of its blooming but rare seeding are discussed.
