CHARACTERISTICS OF VEGETATION OF EVERGREEN BROAD-LEAVED FOREST OF BEILUN IN NINGBO

This paper describes the flora, life-form spectrum,leaf character and community structure of evergreen broad-leaved forest.The results show that the components of the flora are diversified and the tropical genera of this flora are a little more than that of temperate zone.Most of dominant species of the communities are in Castanopsis and Cyclobalanopsis.The vegetation mainly reflects the properties of mid-subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest and tends to be a transitional type of forest from mid-subtropical to north-subtropical.The character and structure of dominant species indicate that the evergreen broad-leaved forest of this area is a climax community.
