  • The genus Cinnam om um (Lauraceae) is the kind of highly important economic trees which has made the constructive species or dominant species of evergreen broad-leaved forest in the subtropics of China.Hubei is a province rich in the natural resources of Cinnam om um.Based on field collections and introductions carried out in the past 20 years,13 species and 2 varieties of Cinnam om um in Hubei have been identified which make up 28.8% of the total amount in China.The present paper mainly has a classification treatment to them and a complete investigation on the reserve distribution.Asummary evaluation of Cinnam om um resources in Hubei Province is presented here in species and genus level.
