Cinnamomum (Lauraceae) Resources in Hubei Province,China

The genus Cinnam om um (Lauraceae) is the kind of highly important economic trees which has made the constructive species or dominant species of evergreen broad-leaved forest in the subtropics of China.Hubei is a province rich in the natural resources of Cinnam om um.Based on field collections and introductions carried out in the past 20 years,13 species and 2 varieties of Cinnam om um in Hubei have been identified which make up 28.8% of the total amount in China.The present paper mainly has a classification treatment to them and a complete investigation on the reserve distribution.Asummary evaluation of Cinnam om um resources in Hubei Province is presented here in species and genus level.
