ON THE DISTRIBUTION CHARACTERISTIC OF THE VARIETY ADIANTUM RENIFORME VAR. SINENSE

The Plant A. reniforme L. var. sinense Y. X. Lin, which was found in 1978 in China, is one of the varieties which have evolved from the species A. reniforme L. in Adiantum, Adiantaceae. It is distributed in a very narrow region where belongs to the Wanxian-Xituo Changjiang valley, eastern Sichuan (between 107°50'-108°21'E., 30°20'-30°51'N.).Because the variety is a new race of the Chinese Adiantaceae and one of the endemic plants to China, it was listed in the State's Protected Plants List in 1982.In the paper author deals with the soil and climatic situation in the variety's distribution region; and analyses the constitutions of the communities which include the variety. Its distribution and main companions are expounded in the paper.
