  • Swamp peatery plants are one of the important resource plants that formed peat.Hongyuan county of Northwest Plateau of Sichuan Province is one of the swamp development regions in China, there are 155 species of peatery swamp plants, which belong to 39 families and 87 genera, including 20 Cosmopolitan genera, 1 Pantropic genus, 51 North Temperate genera, 7 Old World Temperate genera, 2 Temperate Asia genera, 1 Mditerrane, W.Asia to C.Asia genus and 5 E.Asia genera. As for species,Cyperaceae is the largest family, and Compositae second, and Ranunculaceae, Scrophulariaceae third, and Gramineae fourth, which species numbers were 53.54 percent in the total species of peatery swamp plants. In the present paper, the areal types of every family and genus of peatery swamp plants are stated, which factors in the flora are studied.Main features of peatery swamp plants flora are pointed out, and flora of North Temperate is considered as main areal types of peatery swamp plants in Hongyuan.
